Linksfield to grow its SharePoint practice in 2011

January 6, 2011

Linksfield Technologies, the North London-based Microsoft Gold Partner and specialist financial services software provider, today announced that it will focus substantially on growing its SharePoint practice over the course of 2011. This will apply both in Linksfield's core specialist sector of Financial Services as well as in other sectors.

Commenting on this strategic direction, Larry Shapiro, Director at Linksfield said: "We have been a Microsoft Gold Partner for many years, and are fully committed to their excellent suite of products and platforms for our enterprise clients. The recent release of SharePoint 2010 has introduced significant new functionality into Microsoft's leading collaboration platform. Clients are particularly interested in bringing social media ("Enterprise 2.0") features into their Intranets and Extranets, and exploring how business applications can extend to smartphones and tablet computing form factors. There are now also a range of new cloud solutions for SharePoint hosting, which assists both SME's and large corporates in managing their capital spend. We are excited about being able to leverage our proven software development capabilities onto the SharePoint platform, and plan to work closely with other Microsoft partners where we can bring our specialist SharePoint expertise to bear. We are also keen to assist clients with existing SharePoint investments to upgrade from older versions of the platform, in order to fully leverage all the new functionality that has been introduced in SharePoint 2010."
